The team will miss the trio and wish them the best at Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
Three Linhill Celtic FC players will now ply their trade at Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
Nigel Dandawa, Mervedi Matu and Joshua Otu will join the U11 team of the most successful clubs in South Africa.
Dandawa (9) is the former captain of Linhill Celtic FC U10 A team for 2023. He started playing for the club when he was five years old. He is a very shy and humble boy off the field.
However, once the game begins, he is fierce and tenacious. He was nicknamed ‘Khavancaa’ by his team for his fighting spirit.
Samantha Traut from the club said where there is effort, attitude and desire, nothing is impossible. “We are very proud to have had you as a part of our family at Linhill Celtic FC,” she said.
The nine-year-old Matu has been playing for Linhill Celtic FC since 2022. He is very quick and he received the nickname ‘Sonic’, based on his incredible speed.
“All of us at Linhill Celtic FC know he has such a bright future and would like to wish him success and happiness. We will surely miss him this season. Matu your path to success is based on every single step you took towards hard work and dedication. We are very proud to have had you as a part of our family at Linhill Celtic FC,” she said.
Otu started playing soccer at the age of six and has been playing at Linhill Celtic FC since 2022. He has a big smile and an even bigger personality. He is an incredibly determined player who never gives up.
These strong qualities will see him through a very successful career. His team will surely miss his antics and stamina on and off the field. Self-belief and hard work will always earn you success.
“We are very proud to have had you as a part of our family at Linhill Celtic FC,” noted Traut.
